Just a friendly game of cards

So yesterday Ali and I were playing "Top That" or War, with her new deck of cards she got from a birthday goodie bag. We were having a great time playing on my bed. When we started a second game Ali looked over at me and said in a deep and determined voice "I'm going to beat you." I was so surprised I started laughing and she said seriously, "No mom, I really am." Then she proceeded to give me the patented-Kelly-Miller-look. Anyone who knows me knows that look means business, and here my five year old is giving it to me! Watch out world; my mini me is moving up!

That is so funny. I remember that face so many times...which you can still give sometimes. This is great. LOL!!!

Kelly I am sure all of us will get a little just like we were. So did she beat you? How are you all feeling?

We need to get together for a dinner again sometime.

i think it's great!!! it's about time you get that look back at you instead of always giving it. i give the same look to my primary kids and boys at work. it works wonderfully. i can't wait to play cards with her and see the look. see you in a week and a half. i need their sizes again. i checked the email on the itouch and somehow deleated it.
