Can you Spare a Square?

I meant to write this post right after it happened, but, I forgot. What else is new? I was reminded yesterday about it, and thought it best to write down for posterity's sake. (Or just because it's really funny and I want to remember it.)

About three weeks ago our family was eating at Grandpa and Grandma Moon's for dinner. Isaac has a really stinky diaper and after holding him for about twenty minutes I gave him over to dad. I can only handle so much smell with this nose! We didn't bring the diaper bag because "We won't be there too long, what can happen?" A blowout-that's what can happen. Grandma told us that she might have some extra diapers in the bathroom so Ben, kind, thoughtful, thorough Ben, went and changed his diaper for me. I saw Ali throw away the dirty diaper and Ben held out Isaac for me. As I sat him in my lap, the first thing I thought was "This bum is not padded enough." I sneaked a peek down his shorts and do you want to know what I saw?!!!!

A square of toilet paper right over his bum. Not two, or three, just one perfect little square. Well, I started laughing really hard, and proceeded to have Isaac moon the Moon family. We were all cracking up and Isaac, I'm sure, wondered what was so funny. Ben obviously couldn't find any diapers and decided that Isaac would start potty training very early.

So, we let him wonder around out in the backyard while we sat outside and chatted. Isaac was over by the bushes when I see a puddle magically appear below him. He let out a grunt/shriek of surprise, looked at me, and started pointing and babbling. Once again we all were hysterical. It seemed like he was saying "Who squirted me? Did you guys see someone? I think he went that way!" It was a great laugh. Needless to say, Ben had to bring home a wet boy and get him changed. So the moral of this story is.......

USE MORE THAN ONE SQUARE!

That's a great story. Start him early for sure. Then you will not have to worry about two little ones in diapers at the same time.

Good laugh.
